Reeder-Rogers Cousin Reunion
June 19-20, 1999 - Medford, Oregon

It was a truly joyous gathering of family members, from Oregon, Idaho, and California. We met in the gracious home of Kenneth and Linda Reeder in Medford, Oregon. Their back yard was prettier than any park, and we all enjoyed the many flowers, birds, fish and dish gardens. It was wonderful to get "re-acquainted" with one another. We shared pictures, documents, stories, and ancestry lines. Our common ancestors are Noah Webster Reeder and Sarah Curetin West - our Great Grandparents. On Sunday, we all attended services at the Medford First Church of the Nazarene where Sarah was a member until her death in 1933. (Noah died in 1899 and is buried in Amarillo, TX) Sarah is buried in Phoenix, OR, and on Sunday afternoon we visited her grave site, holding a memorial service. Sarah was a wonderful Christian lady and left us all a great legacy which has been passed down to us through her children, our grandparents, and parents. We parted company with some tears, but with hearts full of love. Many wonderful memories were created over that week-end, ones that we will often smile about as we recall our so-very-special cousins!
